American journalist Calla Walsh has stressed solidarity and steadfastness among Iranian nation as keys to Iran’s success against Israel and the United States.
“I see how resilient how unified the Iranian people are how powerful the sense of solidarity of steadfastness is and you know being surrounded by the indigenous military capacities the production Iran has achieved despite being under siege despite being under sanctions,” Walsh told IRNA on Saturday.
“Clearly the Zionist entity and the US entity are lying about how much impact these attacks have had,” she added.
The full text of Walsh’s interview is as follows:
Q: How did you learn about the Iran-Israel war and what was your initial reaction?
A: I’ve been following everything even before the al-Aqsa flood of genocide in Palestine that has gone on for 75 years but more importantly the incredible resistance to this genocide to Zionism to US imperialism and my first impression hearing about operation true promise 3 and the beginning of the 12-day war was that finally that the Zionist entity is getting what it deserves, not only the Zionist entity but more importantly the entire global system of Us imperialism that is waging war not only against the people of Palestine but people of Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Iraq, the entire global south and colonized people.
Q: Do you think Israel achieved its goals in attacking Iran?
A: Absolutely not absolutely not I think being here I see how resilient how unified the Iranian people are how powerful the sense of solidarity of steadfastness is and you know being surrounded by the indigenous military capacities the production Iran has achieved despite being under siege despite being under sanctions. Clearly the Zionist entity and the US entity are lying about about how much impact these attacks have had. They are trying to over inflate their own strength and their own importance because they are paper tigers. Iran has persisted for decades for over 50 years Against All Odds Against regime change attempts against imposed Wars, against genocide by the west and I’m very reaffirmed that Victory is deer against the Zionism and the imperialist powers.
Q: You think Iran was the victor of the war?
A: I certainly don’t think the war is over yet. The lies about Iran’s nuclear capabilities have been destroyed are obviously a lie and the Americans and the Zionists are projecting this to over inflate their own strength and the success of their operation which did not achieve its goals what so ever, which is why they have to lie about it.
Q: How do you see Iran’s missile capabilities and when Iran attacked Israel what was your feeling?
A: That finally the chickens were coming home to roost which is the expression by Malcolm X an African American activist from the United States. To see images of settlers being pulled out of ruble in occupied Palestine, this is a tiny tiny beginning of what the Zionist entity and the imperialists deserve given the destruction they have waged upon the entire axis of resistance. It was a huge escalation and for those of us in the United States very happy to see the attacks on the Zionist entity and there were many protests in the United States waving Iranian flag standing with Iran standing with the axis of resistance but we also have the duty you know to escalate our protests as the genocide and as the war continues to escalate.
