Secretary-General of Iran’s Mo’talefeh Eslami (Islamic Coalition) Party Mohammad Nabi Habibi hailed the Syrian nation’s resistance against the Takfiri terrorists as a major help to the growth of Islamic awakening in the Muslim world.
“Because Syria is in the frontline of resistance against the Zionist regime, the westerners believe that this line of resistance should be broken,” Habibi said in a meeting with Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud on Monday.
“The resistance of the Syrian nation has aided the real awakening of the Muslim world,” Habibi said.
He expressed the hope that terrorism will be uprooted in Syria and the Muslim world soon.
The Syrian ambassador, for his part, said that the US plots to disintegrate the regional countries failed as a result of the will of resistance members.
“The Syrian nation showed its national will with its all-out presence at the ballot boxe …,” Mahmoud added.
He noted that the people’s turnout in the Syrian presidential election showed their opposition to the presence of foreign-backed militants.
Last week, Mahmoud underlined that both Tehran and Damascus believe that the only way out of the Muslim nations’ crisis is boosting their unity to enable them to resist against enemies’ plots, specially extremism and terrorism.
Speaking at a conference on Modern Syria’s Policies on Palestine and the Zionist regime, Mahmoud noted that as Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has always emphasized, the only way out of crisis in the Islamic world is pursuing the path of resistance.
He said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has on many occasions underlined the fact that Damascus is resolved to resist against terrorism.
