Palestinian resistance security forces in the Gaza Strip warned on Saturday against rumors being spread by the Israeli enemy about the assassination of the spokesperson for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Abu Obeida.
In a statement, the resistance security said it had detected Zionist rumors claiming the assassination of Abu Obeida in Gaza, stressing that the source of these rumors is the Israeli enemy and that they serve specific intelligence and psychological purposes.
It pointed out that the Zionist media is directed and operates under the orders of the army and intelligence services, and therefore nothing is published without security directives.
The statement added: “Experience has shown that the Zionist enemy promotes rumors about the assassination of leaders in order to push them and those in their circles toward certain behaviors, with the aim of gathering updated information about them in preparation for targeting them.”
The resistance security called on the Palestinian people to “stop spreading the Zionist enemy’s rumors, which are part of a psychological warfare campaign aimed at destabilizing the internal front.”
