Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon at dawn and blew up two excavators clearing rubble.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) led an incursion on Friday at dawn into Mays al-Jabal, as “Israel” continues to escalate its military aggression against southern Lebanon. According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, the IOF infiltrated two kilometers into the town, reaching the main road of the western neighborhood and its surrounding square.

During the incursion, Israeli forces blew up two excavators that were clearing rubble from homes previously destroyed in earlier airstrikes. The occupation forces also roamed through residential neighborhoods on all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

Simultaneously, IOF fired cluster munitions toward Kfarkela, further endangering civilians and violating international laws prohibiting the use of such weapons in populated areas.

    Mounting Israeli aggression on Lebanon

Overnight on Thursday, an Israeli drone targeted a room near the cemetery in Qabrikha, killing a civilian and his wife and injuring their 10-year-old daughter. The location was not identified as a military target, underscoring the increasing civilian toll of “Israel’s” aerial campaign.

Earlier on Thursday, two people were martyred and two others injured in separate Israeli drone strikes on the southern Lebanese towns of Kfour in the Nabatieh district and Naqoura in the Tyre district.

These attacks are part of a broader and sustained campaign of aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation against multiple Lebanese regions. On Tuesday, “Israel” targeted Bouday, Shmestar, and Wadi Umm Ali in the western Baalbek district. In one of the deadliest recent assaults, an Israeli airstrike on a civilian water drilling site in Wadi Faara (northern Bekaa) killed 12 people, including seven Syrian nationals, and injured several others.

Additionally, “Israel” continues to occupy five Lebanese border points, violating the ceasefire agreement and intensifying tensions along the southern border.

    Ceasefire undermined amid foreign pressure

Since the November 27, 2024, ceasefire, Israeli attacks have martyred 205 people in Lebanon, according to updated figures. Despite the continued aggression, the Islamic Resistance remains fully committed to the truce.

Amid these developments, the US and “Israel” are intensifying pressure on Lebanon to disarm the Islamic Resistance. Additionally, US Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack recently issued stark warnings in The National, claiming that Lebanon risks collapse or foreign control if it does not comply with disarmament demands.
