Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary), backed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), launched a new assault at the Handarat Refugee Camp in northern Aleppo on Sunday, targeting the eastern neighborhoods that were recaptured by the jihadist rebels of Fatah Halab yesterday.
According to a source from Liwaa AL-Quds, their forces stormed the eastern neighborhoods of Handarat Camp after they successfully secured the nearby Shaher District this morning.
Liwaa Al-Quds and the Syrian Arab Army initially captured the Handarat Refugee Camp on Saturday morning; however, they were forced to retreat by nightfall after the jihadist rebels launched a successful counter-attack.
The pro-government forces have already managed to break-through Fatah Halab’s primary line of defense at Handarat Camp, so the second round of attacks should be enough to expel the jihadists once and for all.
