Veteran Quran Activists to Be Honored at Quran Exhibition

Twelve veteran Quran activists are planned to be honored at a ceremony at Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition for their services to the Holy Book.

Mohammad Reza Pourmoin, director of the expo’s Quran Servants Committee, said the ceremony will be held on the occasion of Imam Hassan (AS) birthday anniversary on the 15th day of Ramadan.

He said President Hassan Rouhani is also expected to attend the ceremony.

The twelve Quran activists have served the Quran in the fields of interpretation, translation, research, teaching, arts, management, and so on, he stated.

Pourmoin also referred to other activities of the committee during the exhibition, saying that the activities and accomplishments of 220 Quran activists of the country will be introduced at the expo.

The 24th edition of the international Quran exhibition in Tehran kicked off on Tuesday, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

“Towards Understanding the Quran” is the motto of the event, which will be officially launched on the 7th day and continue until the 23rd day of the holy month.

The expo, which is annually held in the Iranian capital during Ramadan, has numerous sections each one dedicated to a certain activity related to the Quran.
