Terrorists affiliated to the Turkish Army, are ready to enter Idlib city, news websites affiliated to the terrorist groups reported on Sunday.

The militant-affiliated websites quoted Mustafa al-Sijeri, the senior commander of Liwa al-Mo’atasem brigade, as saying that the militant groups affiliated to the Free Syrian Army that are backed by Ankara are ready to enter Idlib city.

“The FSA, backed up by the Turkish forces, are fully ready to enter the region (Idlib city),” the commander further said.

Relevant reports said on Saturday that the Turkish army troops and the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) engaged in heavy fighting at the borderline between Syria’s Idlib province and Turkey after the Ankara forces tried to enter the province.

The opposition activists reported that the Turkish Army forces and Al-Nusra exchanged fire in the small town of Hadad, where the latter decided to hold its ground against the better equipped forces from Ankara.

Tensions between the Turkish military and Al-Nusra have been at an all-time high after the former made an agreement with the Russian government to combat terrorist forces inside Syria.
