Syrian Army, Hezbollah Launch Wide-Scale Operations Around Kuweires Airport


Syrian Army and Hezbollah fighters Wednesday continued their large-scale offensive in the Eastern part of Aleppo province, striking the ISIL defensive positions at a number of sites in both Deir Hafer and Al-Bab Plains.

The Syrian army’s Tiger Forces, in coordination with Hezbollah and the National Defense Forces (NDF) of Aleppo City, began their assault on the ISIL strongholds near the town of Humaymah al-Kabeerah.

The Syrian Armed Forces operation is still ongoing at the moment.


In the Southern part of the Kuweires Military Airport, the Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance struck ISIL centers at the village of ‘Aqlat ‘Aqulah, seizing several small hills that leads to the Northern entrance of this aforementioned terrorist group stronghold.

North of the Kuweires Military Airport, the Syrian army’s Tiger Forces launched their first assault towards the Al-Bab Plains, striking the militant-controlled village of Nasrallah to the East of the recently recaptured town of ‘Arbeed; if Nasrallah is captured, the Syrian Armed Forces will have cutoff ISIL surrogate supply route along the Al-Bab-Deir Hafer Road.

Sources said earlier today that at least 15 terrorists were killed and many more were wounded seriously in the operations of the pro-government forces across Aleppo province.
