Quran Competition for Girls Held in Lahore


The Iranian Culture House in Lahore, Pakistan, hosted a Quran competition for girls on the weekend.

The competition was held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and birth anniversary of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (AS).

According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, 66 girls aged 9 to 16 took part in the contest, which was organized by the Culture House in cooperation with Imamiya Organization’s Women’s Affairs Section.

The participants competed in recitation of the Quran and 3 of them were announced by the panel of judges as winners.

The winners were awarded in a ceremony at the end of the competition.

There were also speeches delivered on the sidelines of the contest featuring the social effects of memorizing and reciting the Quran, thematic interpretations of the Quran, and new Quran teaching methods.
