In his newly released statement on the anniversary of Jannat al-Baqi’s demolition, Iranian Jurisprudent, Ayatollah Hussein Nouri Hamedani slammed the willful measures perpetrated by Saudi regime, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Part of the message goes, “The month of Shawwal marks the anniversary of Jannat al-Baqi’s demolition (the oldest Islamic graveyards located in Medina) by the arrogant regime of Al Saud.”

“This tragedy saddens the hearts of the faithful. This day is regarded as a public mourning day throughout the Islamic world,” the religious cleric underlined.

The grand Ayatollah went on to add, “The enemies of genuine Islam must know that these demolished graves serve as a true sign of holy infallibles’ righteousness and are considered as a light of guidance for those who seek the truth.

“No group of people or tribe can ever put out the light of faith and the straight path to Allah almighty,” Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani wrapped up his speech.
