Israel’s new anti-Iran scenario

In a new scenario to portray Iran as a threat to the world, the Zionist regime claimed on Wednesday it had seized an Iranian shipment of rockets headed for Gaza.

The claim comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in the US to address the annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in a bid to trigger anti-Iran sentiment throughout the world.

The news was widely covered by Western media and Netanyahu tried to maneuver over the issue.

This is while the mentioned ship does not have a clear identity and its crew are not Iranian and weapons said to be found in the ship are not Iranian-made either.

Analysts believe that Tel Aviv is trying to put under pressure those American officials who are seeking to find a negotiated end to the decade-old stand-off over Iran’s nuclear program.

The Israeli claim could also be seen as an attempt to overshadow inhumane acts of the Zionist regime against residents of Gaza Strip.

Human rights activists took to the streets in a number of American cities on Wednesday to protest the crackdown of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people as Netanyahu arrived in the country.

Pro-Israeli media tried to widely cover Israel’s false claims against Iran to divert public attention from the tragic situation in Gaza.
