Hezbollah voiced on Monday full support for Lebanese political dialogue initiative launched by Speaker Nabih Berri a day earlier.
In a statement released by the part’s Media Relations, Hezbollah hailed Berri’s intiative as a “serious opportunity” to get out of the current political deadlock in the country.
“Hezbollah voices full support for the dialogue intiative launched by Speaker Berri,” the resistance movement said in the statement.
“Hezbollah looks at this initiative as a serious opportunity to reach a permanent solution for the current political crisis and what follow it of economic and social crises that threaten the Lebanese citizen,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah hoped that all Lebanese factions will positively deal with the initiative and work for its success, the statement added.
Earlier on Sunday, Speaker Berri called for a political dialogue session that joins the leaders of different parliamentary blocs and the Prime Minister Tamam Salam.
During a rally in the southern town of Nabatieh to mark the 37th anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Sayyed Mussa al-Sadr, Berri said that he would call for the dialogue session within the first ten days of September.
The session would focus on the presidential void, the work of the Parliament and the Cabinet, a new electoral law, administrative decentralization and equipping the Army.
