Hamas: Commitment to truce subject to Zionists’ commitment


Deputy Head of Palestinian resistance movement Hamas Politburo Esmail Haniyah said here Friday that Palestinians’ commitment to cease fire treaty with Tel Aviv is subject to Zionists’ commitment to its terms.

According to the Palestinian news agency, Wafa, Haniyah made the comment in an interview with Al Qods TV network, adding, “Hamas consultations and contacts with Cairo and some other sides aimed at urging the Zionist enemy to keep on remaining committed to the terms of the agreements reached in Caro on truce continue.”

Requesting Egypt to keep the Rafah Passage open constantly, he stressed that Egypt’s security and stability are top priorities for the Palestinians.

Haniayh made the comments after the recent moves of the Zionist enemy in violating the truce term and the occupiers Zionists’ shootings in Khan Yunis which led to martyrdom of Taysir Al Samiri, 33, a commander of Martyr Ezzeddin Qassam Brigades, the military branch of Hamas.
