Anti-War Rally in Lugansk Demands End to Kiev’s War on Its Own People

An anti-war rally took place in Lugansk, Eastern Ukraine, on Sunday.

The demonstrators demanded that the Kiev government stop a military operation against its own people, Voice of Russia reported.

Speakers at the rally included head of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Valery Bolotov, Chairman of the Parliament of the Union of Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics Oleg Tsaryov and other LPR officials and lawmakers.

The self-proclaimed republics of Lugansk and Donetsk have become a “bone in the throat of international terrorism and its Kiev henchmen”, Bolotov told the crowds.

“Today we are on the defensive, but tomorrow we will be driving the occupants away,” he said.
