The story of the high-profile arrest of Abdolmalek Rigi, ringleader of the Pakistan-based terrorist group of Jundallah will be the topic of a new TV series.
Born in 1979 in the southeastern Iranian Province of Sistan-Baluchestan, Abdolmalek launched a terror campaign against the Islamic Republic. His group was active in many different terrorist acts including series of bombing and hostage takings.
But finally Iranian security forces succeeded to arrest him outside the country on a flight from the United Arab Emirates to Kyrgyzstan, as he was possessing a forged Afghan passport issued by the US and exactly 24 hours after he was at a US base in Afghanistan.
Now, Sima Film Production has announced that his story will be the theme of its new TV series and security forces is set to contribute to the scripts.
